Purple Lights Nights

Please join us this October for "Purple Lights Nights", as simple way to shine a light on DV.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and purple is the tradional color representing DVAM efforts. As such, Project Sanctuary is partnering with businesses and community members to 'shine a light' on DV. The idea is simple...partnering businesses display a luminated  'purple lights nights' poster in their windows throughout the month of October as a reminder that PS is here for survivors, and as  an expression of support from the community for survivors.

But what if you don't have a business and want to get involved? It's easy! Just download this simple luminary, wrap it around a battery operated tea light candle, and place it in a street-facing window in your home throughout October.

As the years go by, our hope is to "turn the county purple"  as part of a state wide effort by seeing more and more of these two illuminated expressions throughout the area for DVAM.
