Job Announcements - Scroll downOur MissionTo end domestic violence and sexual abuse in our community.
Agency ProfileProject Sanctuary began in the fall of 1977 in response to the need for emergency shelter and support for women who were being abused by their husbands and living partners. In the fall of 1980, a Rape Crisis Service was added to provide emergency response and counseling to survivors of sexual assault. In 1991, Project Sanctuary established an office in Fort Bragg serving sexual assault and domestic violence clients along the Mendocino Coast from Gualala to West Port. Over 2000 individuals are served each year by Project Sanctuary. Many families have had the opportunity to break the cycle of abuse through the support and services offered. Individuals have been able to achieve greater personal growth and independence. Project Sanctuary, Inc. is a private non-profit organization supported by state and local funds, United Way and contributions from individuals. We invite your contributions of money or items to help us continue our services. Contributions are tax deductible.
